This unique experience gets you off the beaten track through the Mackay and Whitsunday region to the country sugar cane town turned mountain bike mecca - Finch Hatton. Explore the Australias newest bike trail network showcasing a mix of fun and friendly loops and fast and progressive descents. Refuel with a stop for a picnic lunch or explore the old village and pub before cooling off in one of the many clear mountain streams surrounding the famous Finch Hatton Gorge.

The Ride Finch Hatton Experience
Your day starts at Ride Whitsunday HQ, where your friendly guide will fine-tune your bike setup and you can pick up any last-minute spares or riding essentials. Next is a 1.5 drive into the idyllic countryside, passing green rolling hills, historic farmlands, and sugar cane crops winding up the Pioneer Valley. You base yourself in the historic town of Finch Hatton and discover Australia's newest trail network as your adventure playground. Pick your own adventure on a self-guided ride with up to 82 km of single trail and a world-class pump track. Our guides will recommend where to ride based on your experience and local conditions - there is something for all levels of riders. Refuel with a classic pub lunch and finish the day with a dip in one of the crystal-clear mountain streams surrounding Finch Hatton Gorge. Roadtrip back to your accomodation on a high from your epic adventure.
Ride highlights
Smooth and shaded climbing trails wind up the valley, delivering you to the summit hub with valley views below. Choose Fast Airflow Trails or Easy Rolling single track on your descent with multiple trail options. Follow easily signed and graded trails throughout the network; experience different trails every descent with 10+ unique rides to choose from. Wrap up with a skills session on the World Class Pump Track at the Valley Trail head.

Recommendations/Rider suitability
For the young and young at heart!
12yrs-65yrs (reccomended). Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Average to good level of fitness. Must be able to ride a regular bicycle competently.
What about the bikes?
We provide premium Specialized Levo E-Mountain bikes. Eco-friendly but full of fun, pedal these bikes just like a regular bike. Sizes are selected when booking. BYO bike shuttle only options also available.

4 passengers minimum number to confirm tour.
Tour is subject to cancellation due to weather, road conditions, minimum numbers, etc.
On a semi-self-guided tour, each rider must ride within their skill level and participate at their own risk.
Cancellation: Cancel before 12pm the day prior to travel for a refund (excluding booking fees and surcharges). Cancellation after this time: No refund.
